‘I’m Not Responsible for Your Tiny Idiots’ : Reckless Parents Expect Server to Babysit Kids, Blame Him When Kids Ultimately Smash Restaurant Property to Smithereens

Kids are a bother—whether they are yours or not, but I'd argue that it's easier to hate them less when they have your DNA. A server, for example, has no incentive to like them—especially when he works at a wine-tasting establishment, where you wouldn't really expect to find kids anyway. These parents came in with high expectations, thinking somebody else would watch their kids while they drank, laughed, and did what grown-ups do… had fun.

As if servers don't have enough BS to deal with on a daily basis… the audacity is unreal. What happened was inevitable. They ran around unsupervised because the server was being paid money to serve, not to babysit. In the end, the parents had the nerve to get mad at the establishment (particularly at the waiter) because how DARE they do their actual job instead of the silently assigned task the parents had placed on them? What ensued was chaos.
